FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU ACTIVITIES

The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for providing inspection services for
the City of Gulf Shores. These services include site plan review, fire protection
systems plan review and testing, and fire alarm plan review and testing.  The Bureau
also conducts investigations into all fires which occur within the City.

Public Education is also charged to the Fire Prevention Bureau. We provide First Aid
training, CPR, and Fire Prevention in the schools. If you need a speaker for your group
contact the Fire Marshal's office at 251-968-1168.

The City of Gulf Shores is under the 2003 International Building Codes. All shop drawings must be submitted to the Fire Marshal for review. There is currently no review charge for
sprinkler systems or fire alarm system review. It is preferred that all drawings are submitted electronically. (.DWG or PDF) Cut sheets and spec sheets must be in PDF format.
